Default Which PI dedector

Hi, I'm new here and have a question. I've been looking for a detector to use at the OBX,NC, I have an IDX Pro for dirt detecting and would like to know a good detector for in the wet sand and water. I've been looking at the White Beachhunter and the Tesoro Sand Shark but there pros and cons on these. What I need is some input from users on PI units. Thanks

I have a Whites BeachHunter and while I am still very new at detecting and using this unit, I have found it to be a very capable machine ... it works well in hard packed sand ... there is no doubt in my mind that it is capable of finding many things that I don't have the experience to utilize it in finding them

There are two that I would recommend. The Whites Surf PI pro and the headhunter PI. Both are very sensative and can find deep small targets. Although they will find more junk items if you plan on going into the water then there is less junk there and of course you can dig the sand easily. Let me know if you need any more help.

Hello Hawk, well I wish you the best in making your choice. Tony and Chuck have have laid out some nice water detectors and It is not an easy choice. If you are going to go strictly PI then I think the Detector Pro HH PI and the Tesoro Sand Shark PI are good detectors. Ok Hawk if I can be of any help too just drop a line and I will be at your service. God Bless.
