Default Dayton, OH Area anyone?

Well I think the weather has finially broke here and boy it the ND itch killing me! I am hoping in the next few weekends to go out to the airport here and see what I can find! (I got permission at the begining on the new year, but not had the chance to go looking)

I am going to be in the Dayton, OH area end of April for work. It is close enough so that I drive out. With that being said, you better believe I am bringing my MD.

So, is anyone from the Dayton, OH area? Or at least know of some places to go?

Thanks!

Joe (dad_of_3)

Smile Dayton

dad of 3, you might start with the Dayton Tourist information bureau (search the internet). This can net you information on parks, fairgrounds and activities to provide leads on places you can start detecting. Also try to find if there is a local detecting club, or listings for detectorists in those areas. TQ has member listings, but there are also club and personal listings at such sites as LostTreasure.com and FMDAC.org .

Thanks for the tip. I will be and have been searching the web for all that you have said. I am sure I will be able to find some where to go even if it is just a school or something like that.

Where are you in CO? My company is just starting up an office in the Denver area. If I get the chance to get out there I am sure I will be brinign my MD with me!

One of the guys here is out in Denver right now. He made a point to stay over the weekend. (He took his fly rod with him this time) Nothing wrong with making the best out of buisness trips!

Thumbs up Where's Joe

Joe in WV,

I'm in Aurora next to Buckley AFB. A native of Denver, I bought a house in Aurora after I got out of the service. Aurora is the states third largest city and borders Denver on the East. If you come out this way give me a call and we'll go on an outing and do some prospecting and detecting.
