Feedback on a couple detectors

Hello,

Just wondering if anybody could give me a little feedback on a couple metal detectors, so I can make up my mind and finally order my wife one, whom has been bugging me for years to get her one.

I went on Kellyco, and looked at the Ace 250, which I have read tons of good reviews on. I almost went and bought one today, but then they are also having a Scratch and Dent Sale on the Swift Seeker MP5.

I called and talked to one of the people at Kellyco today, and he highly recommended the MP5 over the Ace, especially with the great sale they are having on the MP5.

I am leaning toward the MP5 (with the sale the MP5 is about $200.00 and the Ace is $212.00.) However, two things have me stuck- number one, was the Kellyco guy recommending the MP5 simply because they are trying to move the product? And number two, the MP5 does not have a digital readout like the Ace.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I probably wouldn't buy anything scratched or dent as Lord only knows what they went through. I would think the Ace 250 would be the best choice for her as a beginner.

The vendors on this site really have good prices.

Your dectector depends on the use. If you plan on detecting on a salt water beach the ACE will not work out. If you are going to detect on soil it is good. I would look at the ACE as Greg suggested.

You are getting a target id (take is from a new bee) you will like it better than just tones. Plus the pin pointing on the Garretts is right on.

I owned an ACE at first then went up to the GTAx 550.
