Anyone ever thought about quitting their jobs so you can detect full time?

I would love to be able to do that. I did go as far to leave work early yesterday with the sole purpose of MDing.

Not to much luck though, I went to an old abandoned farm house that I just got permission to hunt at. It looks like 1920s or 30s and sits on 15 acres. All I found was some cans and other trash. But did find an old shovel. I will take a pic of 2 and post it.

I just hope I don't make a habit of it. If I do I may be detecting fulltime....lol

I would say that counts. Unfortunately I have a long way to go, even for early retirement....

mel fishers estate is in really good fiscal shape because he decided to treasure hunt full time. took awhile and cost him more than money (lost some family in a diving accident) but he did find the ATOCHA. if ya know what yer lookin for and are tenacious enough you can do it. but like ernurse.... two many mouths to feed. it takes every penny i make to keep the water, the phone, the lights and the wife turnded on.

Not yet ...

I used to dream about quitting the corporate drill and making soap for a living but you know what? I decided that I enjoy it far too much to ruin it by making it into a job. I'm thinking sometimes the dreaming is better than the realizing.
