Default pocket Uni-probe

Has anyone tried or use one of these? Are they worth the money & do they get the depth of 5 to 6" in the recovery hole that they claim ?
Any feedback appreciated.

Great probe but pricey. They get around 4" average.

Default Thank You TonyC

I appreciate the response. I have a vibra probe 560 wich is great but I was curious as I read most pinpoiters go 1 maybe 2" except for the sunray's. I wonder what would be the advantage if it reads deeper as you still have to dig down and possibly pinpoint again. If you probe your plug & dirt you take out of the hole then I would think 1 or 2" would do. Does this make any sense ? I guess what I'm getting at is that if it would have a definate advantage then when I get a few extra bucks put aside I would possiby get one otherwise I would put that money towards something else.

Hi Tinman, I am a user and dealer of the Vibraprobe 560 myself and I personally don't need any more depth from a pinpointer. I do like the Uniprobe from the standpoint it can be built up to a full size PI detector with the added accessories. I really like the idea of using vibrations to send a signal that you have a target at the end of the Vibraprobe. I'm sure that Tony can give you more info than I can and he is a really great fellow. Ok Tinman I hope that the Wilson is working out for you. God Bless and take care my friend.

Default Hi John & Thank You

for your imput on the uniprobe. I think I'll just save my money for other little things I'm going to need. I'm very happy with the 560 to but I was curious. Well it's been raining here & suppose to for another day or two but next week is suppose to be really nice so while I'm waiting I've been talking to my new neighbor who was born & raised here About Where old parks & such might be. I told him I'd be glad to show him how to use a detector if he wanted to go with me. He's pretty excited about it as I gave him a few back issues of lost treasure mag. so I may have a future hunting buddy with alot of knowledge of this area, possible TQ member & customer for it's sponsors. John, I was sitting outside watching the rain & staring at the mountains & I had one of my Forrest Gump Moments of thought. I was thinking how cool it is of Free2Dtect to take his time to share his experience with people new to MD,ing & help them learn. Well I'm fairly new to this so there's not alot that I could help anyone out with in that way but I could do something so I know the wilson has your curiosity and if you can wait untill the weather starts getting cold again here I'd be more than happy to send my Wilson for you to to use for the winter months & that way you could let me know what you think & how it works in your soil out there. In a way you'd be doing me a favor to. I'll pay to ship it there and you ship it back after you've driven it for a while. This way you would know for sure if you ever wanted to get one. Let me know what you think & as I said it would be my Pleasure. God Bless and HH Amigo!

Hi Ron, thanks for the nice posting and I am looking forward to your experiences with the Coin Select. Wow that is great and hope you do gain a hunting pard'ner there Ron. Yes Sir Free has done a lot for this forum and I can't imagine the amount of time he has spent helping us all with our questions. So a hand clap to you Free! Ron that is very kind of you to offer up your Wilson for me to use in the winter, not many around like you Ron. Let's see and winter is a ways away but I would be interested. I called Paul at Wilson and talked about a dealership and I am looking into it. Ok Ron I will chat with you again and thank you for being so helpful and I hope the Wilson does good for you. God's Blessings and take care my friend.
