Default still need help with pics chuck

I've downloaded Irfanview and the plugins and the thumbnails and the iview400 and still can't figure it out.Please excuse my stupidity. I can't seem to find or don't get the second compression window where I slide the bar to 80%. I'm trying to upload the pics from my files into Irfanview but they just won't go there.Do I need to load the pics directly from the cam to Irfanview?? Please help. Rob

I think it defaults to 80%. All I do is open an image, go under the image menu at the top bar. Select resize resample. Then change the larger dimension to 800 ((Ex 1). This will generally give you an 800X600 image. Then save as whatever. You will see the Save As info and compression info as shown in this picture (Ex 2).
