Default Little Digger??

Hello.
How long do you stay a little digger before getting promoted. At 250# and 6'2" I'm far from a little digger. LOL

Default Been a Veteran Digger a long time myself..

I have been a veteran digger a long time myself, but that mostly the doings on my part when I quit going online when I was taking care of my family and my parents. Still catching up on all the posts. One of these days I'll catch up. Got into the habit of taking my laptop with me when I am out running service calls (HVAC) and even with it and having wireless, it is hard to stay caught up with all the current postings, let alone all the older ones. I honestly don't see how Greg does it.

Default Little Digger???

The "Little Digger" title doesn't mean anything, it refers to how many posts that you have done on the Treasure Quest forums! I believe that the next title is "Seasoned Digger" These titles have always bothered me and maybe we need to ask Gregory to change it to something that more reveals our detecting experience and committment! So under the current titles a newbie can be a Master Digger not because of his/her experience but only because they have the time to make numerous posts!...................DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO ASK GREGORY ABOUT.......................Joe

Personally it doesn't offend me in the least. I've been called worse, and better. How would the forum software know whether a body had been detecting 30 years or 30 days. Like mentioned, it only reflects the number of posts. Lots of people who joined after me are more vocal, but then again they are probably more experienced so have more to say an in effect would reflect their greater experience. Wouldn't your suggestion be best addressed in signature, and profile.

I'm kind of wishing I could stay a "little digger" for a long time. Makes me feel young again, but then again that was too long ago.

Thanks
Leo

Leo, I never said that it offended me! I just felt that it is an issue that needs to be addressed! Your right on how could the software know the difference between someone with 30 years experience or 30 days! I agree but still feel that the present system is a bit inaccurrate! You said, "Wouldn"t your suggestion be best addressed in signature, and profile." Now that leaves me bewildered and what does that really mean! Are you saying that I need to write a personal letter to Gregory? Sorry but I really do not understand what you meant!!? So please go into more details!!!!........................and don't be vague!.............Thanks..............Joe

I think Leo has a good idea. if you want everyone to know how long you have been at it you can put it in your signature line. Your profile also allows you to tell your interests and such. But the signature line is on every post so you could put Hi I'm Joe and I'm a digger. A digger for x number of years.

Thumbs up Signature Line

Every person has a space under their posts for a personal signature. From the top of the page there is an example that says "Lets go digging!", Chuck has some information on his Treasure Hut and detector examples, Toadie has an ISP picture, mine has information on pulltabs, Juleiburger and Joe(TX) have none (YET!?!? HINT! HINT!). All of them are added to each post automatically under "Signature".

It's accessed two ways: One is under Quick Links on the top of the page; then Edit Signature. The other would be under "User CP" on the same line as "Quick Links". On the left then is Edit Signature. Under that is Edit Profile which brings up a page with "Additional Information" including biography, hobbies, etc. Used when you'd like some information on a poster and you click on a posters name and view Public Profile.

There is an item to Edit Avatar. That is where each member can put an individual picture next to their name for their posts. These are the main items, there are more options on that page.

All as individual as the numerous members we have. Some humerous, some serious, some simple, some in depth, and all interesting and unique reflecting the individual members taste.

Thanks
Leo
