Hi Mr. Silver. I am not trying to be rude, just trying to answer your question. I'm not sure anyone can answer the question. A Karat is a mesurement of purity in gold. A Carat is weight for precious stones which equals 200 milligrams per Carat. So I guess the question is how big of a diamond is one weighing 200 milligrams? I am not certain all diamonds of the same weight have the same size. Like you, I would be interested to know. Thanks for posting an interesting question
Carl

On average a 1 carat stone is abou 5.5 to 6.5 mm. It is according to how deep the stone is. Try asite like www.bluenile.com they have tons of diamonds so you can get a rough estimate. They do vary but they also tend to have a mm size per carat that cutters try to stay in a certain range. Hope this helps. Julie

Julie, I can't speak for Mr. Silver, only for myself. Thanks for shedding some light on the question.
