Someone emailed me about the ring I found. I made a post to craigslist, hoping to find the owner and unfortunately the ring did not belong to the person who emailed me about it. However, I offered to come search the area where her husband may have lost his ring. I offered to do this at no charge, mainly because I am a nice guy and secondly, I like helping people and love my new hobby.
Should I have charged a fee? If so is there a standard for something like this? Or just hope they allow me to search for the ring and in the process get the chance to search a new area(s)? |

who replied. I believe that I will not charge but accept whatever is offered. I believe that is the way to go. That way I can promote the hobby and help someone find something they lost. In the meantime make a friend, contact and hopefully spread the joys of md'ing around. Thanks you all are great!
