I am very new at metal detecting. We will be staying two weeks in the area of Cape San Blas, Apalachicola and St. George Island Florida. I am researching possible sites but have not had much luck. I have found some about St. George Island but want to know if anything ever washes up on the beaches in this area or if there is any off the path sites. Also on St. George Island, I found it is only buried treasure and if it is, most of that area is private property. Any use seeking out a site there, like in the park? That is, if the park allows detectors. If anyone has some clues about this area, I would appreciate it. Thanks..Suzanne
