I am trying to wear out my x-terra 30 and my coil cover has recently goobbled up a bunch of sand(my swing is getting more consistant) and the dust cover has come off, leaving some sticky substance on the bottom of the coil and some sand stuck to it. what is the trade secret to cleaning the coil? I dont want to just spray anything on it..... and what will keep the cover on in the future? oh by the way. I love my machine, Chuck.

You might want to check that cover for cracks. It should not come off easy. Soap & water to clean that coil.

As the others said, good old soap and water should clean up the coil. Its always a good idea to remove the cover now and then to clean it out. You'd be surprised how much dust and dirt gets in and under there.
I know some people actually place the cover on and glue or caulk around the seem permanently attaching/sealing it to the coil.

Hi everyone, well I have noticed my cover on the X70 not fitting as tight as it did. Just don't get the coil too slick. But eventually they will wear out and It seems like the Xterra covers are thinner than other brands, maybe just me guys.
