Welcome to TQ. Not in the area, but my in-laws live just outside Destin. Maybe we can get together when we come down to visit them. We try to do that a couple of times a year. Trust me, I would rather be md'ing than listening to my mother in law.

I'm a distance from you, too - but as our weather gets chillier I'll certainly be thinking of you on that nice Florida beach! Good luck, welcome to the group, and HH!

Thanks for the thought It still gets a little cool down here. I did a lot of detecting up in Delaware when I was stationed at Dover AFB. Used to go out just about every weekend. Found some good stuff. My partner was really better at this then I was. He used a Garrett machine and could hear the tones a lot better then I could hear mine on my Whites. We worked the area for about 5 years. I have not had the time to detect too many beaches around here. I do miss being up around that area. I am mostly busy on the weekends with family things. I did find my co workers wedding band that he lost in his yard last year. That was pretty cool and it got him out of the dog house. He had given up on the ring and had gotten a new one. His wife likes him again.Take care and keep everyone posted on your hunt RIKI727. Buster
