Snow and Ice are months away and I don't wanna stop detecting so soon

Thanks.
Areas where the ground is too hard to dig due to cold winter conditions, I have heard that wooded area's are good to metal detect in since the ground is not so tough to dig into. Another place that you can consider on those winter days is tot lots in your park or school where mulched area is used. The mulch is easy to dig through and shouldn't be frozen like the ground would be. I hope this helps.

I like going out after a good rain because I get to get all muddy. the best part about this sport is.... it is like being a kid again. Digging holes and especially playing in mud after the rain.

I was Chillin and Grilling myself last winter in the Co Sprgs. I just kept the
Shovel close by and removed the snow from the Deck..

I don't think you're nuts, either....I just want to know what time's dinner on those snowy nights?

I always find it to be better after a good rain if you dont mind getting filthy..The ground seems to conduct better and obviously it is easier to dig...They also say that the roots move to soak up the water which can shift around the coins and stuff possibly bringing them closer to the surface...I dont really detect in the snow because I have to work in the cold and try not to spend any more time in it than I have to...Hope this helps ...THE GOOCH
