I feel lame asking this but.........I have a few weather related questions...
1. After it rains does the detector work better? 2. After rain/and or on wet soil does the detector search deeper? 3. How does the detector work in Icy conditions? Snow and Ice are months away and I don't wanna stop detecting so soon ![]() ![]() Thanks. |

What Boobie says It is always better to detect on damp soil.

After a good rain .the signals are more enhanced.. as far as hunting in the snow
that's one thing I haven't tried as of yet.. I think I may give it a shot this winter jus for Kicks.. I'll have to use the Excalibur for this though..I wouldn't want to chance dropping my Explorer in the snow. and having snow pack in the controls..

I read an article one time about snow hunting. It suggested hunting parking lots that had been plowed when the piles start melting, anything that was laying in the parking lot may have been pushed into the pile. Haven't tried but sounds like an interesting theory.
