Default 2nd Detector???

HI all, I'm interested in getting a second machine, and I'm leaning towards a water detector. I have read some great articles from users of the Tesoro Tiger Shark. I am currently using the Whites M6 which I love but would like another detector. Ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Tiger Shark looks like a nice unit for the water. Can the control box be hip mounted?

One of these days I would like to have a water machine, Beale.

Default Hey Zman

The Tiger shark is very Popular and I hear nothing but good things about them. I currently use a Whites Surfmaster PI wich I really Like, I am looking to Upgrade soon and heres where I'm at. I want to have 2 detectors for the beach & water, This way I have a Backup and if someone else wants to hunt but doesn't have a water machine I can help them out there. The one I'm getting first is the Whites Beachunter ID. Salt & Fresh Water use. Good to 25ft of water but I never go deeper than 4 to 6ft, I like the Idea of the 3 LED lights to help identify whats there. I've always wanted to check one out so thats the one. NOW the 2nd machine will Most likely be a Tiger Shark tho I am waiting to see what Fishers new CZ21 is all about. I've used Whites & Tesoro's but not Fishers or Minelab wich I here & read Alot of folks are very happy with there 800s or 1000s. The reason I want to see the CZ21 is because of How Great and the Rave reviews on the CZ20 were tho the Price will be $1,000.00 to $1,200 for them. Of course that always comes into play. As usual and as most would also say, Talk to the Sponsors here as they can give you a little more tech. info and such. The One Thing I would DEFENITLY Say IS stay with a Main & Well known Manuf. Leave the Vipers, Cobra's and all the other Chinese junk alone. Hope this helps a little.

Beale, YES, The Tiger Shark CAN be Hip or Chest mounted and can also be shortened to a Divers Length.

Good Luck & HH.

I looked at the Vipers for about 30sec, and they even look cheesey in the pictures. Thanks everyone for the info. I definately want to have a second detector thats a water machine. I'll check out the whites as well. Have a great week all and happy hunting.

Santa has a huge list of stuff for me this year.

Just so ya know, if ya check out the Whites, The Surf PI Pro has a Zero Bouancy Coil so it won't want to Float on ya In the water. The Beachunter ID does NOT have the Zero Bouancy coil so Will want to Float in the water, of course there are Remedies such as Weighting it down or as I am looking into the Epoxy 12" Spider coil wich Surflooter was talking about. Just thought I'd toss that out there to ya so it may help a little in your search. Whatever You Get, Good Luck & HH.
