Whar r these???
Anyone know what these are? I found them on two seperate occasions on visits to a place where an old building foundation had been cleared. I haven't found any coinage newer than 1920 and did find a pretty destroyed 1901 Barber Dime. 6-7 Wheaties 1920 and earlier. But what are these two items? They are about 1-1/4" in length.

Hi and welcome to TQ.
I don't have a clue as to what they are but do have a couple of questions, what is their size and any idea of what kink of metal, silver? They're neat looking and seem to be in pretty good condition for being dug. Thanks for posting. I'm sure someone will have an idea of what they areor you can always post it under "Ask Pappy"

Yeah, They are pretty neat looking. They are about an inch and a quarter in length.They do appear to be silver and their date range is probably 1880-1920. The first one I dug was the one with the triple S's. I thought to myself "Could this be Spanish?". These were found here in Bradenton, FL. Of course that would change the dating wouldn't it!
The nicest thing I found at this site is a GORGEOUS 1920-S Merc. Copper seems to be totally eaten alive here in Florida. .
