Talking Another Stupid question

Who would I ask for Permission??? Its a public park Small town USA.

You can always stop by the parks and recreation dept or call and ask if there are any rules against digging/metal detecting. Most are open to the public and you can dig. Never hurts to check. Most cities and towns have the information posted on city web sites. Check those also. If you have Regional parks, you may have to also check with the Regional Park authorities. Just some tips to keep in mind...on a side note, as tempting as the actual soccer fields, baseball fields, softball fields, etc are, I usually control myself and just search around the outside of those.

Hey BuckDigger I do understand. I am not local to my town. Do not really know a bunch of people. I practiced my hole digging in my yard. I did call the city parks dept. They gave me the go ahead to MD in the city parks.
