Hi Mr Dig,
Beginning my second year with an M6 and honestly haven't used the 950 coil all that much because i really prefer the DD coils on the M6. The 6"x10" Eclipse is a real nice coil for coverage and depth and runs smoother at most of my sites so i leave the 950 on the shelf. Not to say the 950 wouldn't work better for someone else at their sites. I had a 4"x6" Eclipse Shooter on the DFX and it didn't help with stability problems so i sold it along with the DFX. I also used the 4"x6"Shooter DD for the 6.59hz detectors such as the XLT IDX Pro etc. and it was performance lite in my opinion so i sold it too. I kept the 5.3 Eclipse coil that i had for the DFX and used on the M6 and it does very well but i prefer the the 4.5"x7"EXcelertor coil but love the alternate 5.3 Bullseye or black Max coil on the 6.59hz detectors such as the XLT or IDX Pro. If you want outstanding target separation and moderate depth the 5" EXcelerator coil is best at real trashy sites if you find old targets at 5" or less and need ultimate separation to get them it's worth the bucks. If i only had two alternate coil choices it would be the Whites 6"x10" Eclipse and the 4.5"x7" Excelerator for most hunting but if your really into trash hunting the 5" EXcelerator is the one. Just some thoughts on the coils. HH Bill |
