What type of detector are you running? I really tend to look for repetable tone and ID in a X over the object? If the tone and or ID jump all over the place could be minerals, junk or ???

When you say sketchy I take it to mean a non sure signal? Is that correct? Give us just a tad more info and I will try to help, Beale.

It sounds as though it is junk, but the only way to learn your machine is to dig everything to start with and remember the sound/tones you were hearing.

I'm not familiar with your detector, but sometimes you will get a tone and dig down and then wave detector again over same area...tone will dissappear...Dig down a little deeper and remove dirt...wave detector over dirt you removed and the item will be there...Also the item you are searching for could be on its side in the side of the hole you just dug...so dig out further...Hope some of this helps...Learn your detector and could just be mineralization in the ground

Default hi

well i went to the park today to try my luck and was overwhelmed by the amount of garbage signals i got. dug most of them and found no coin...amazing the amount of junk people throw on the ground. fished around for awhile but became discouraged a bit because of a couple things such as there was this cop watching me the whole time which made me nervous, and the digging was horrendous. anywhere ya go down here its hard dry ground. so i went home and tried in the vacant place next door. found one penny and a bunch of screws lol....how many pounds of junk do i need to dig before i find the good stuff
