Unhappy need a place to detect

I got my MXT kit in Friday but have not gone out with it yet. Anyone know of a place I go go detecting in northeast Arkansas?

I live in a town called Jonesboro and would like to stay within a 30 mile radius each way.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Seek out older churches, schools, parks, playgrounds, fairgrounds and old homesites with a stone foundation. Be sure to ask for permission and you'll be set

Here's some history.

knowing your local history is usually a good start.

Thanks for the tips guys...I found that history info before Doug and gave it a read.

I may drive out to some old churches tomorrow or Monday and see if I can get permission form anyone.

Went out today and worked with my Whites MXT detector. Going to write a review about it and see if I can get it posted on here.

Cool places to detect

I would start with your front yard. then go to local parks if alowed. Untill you get to know your detector there isnt much use going too far. you should do an air test too before you go out. also read the manual. then read it again. then go out a couple times and then read it again

my 2 cents
