hi boobie,I set mine down on the right too.the cord is three feet long. Its nice for those holes that are 5in+ deep and when the object you are looking for is off by an inch.

I have a DX1 on my MXT and would not be without it any longer. I don't find it to be any inconvienence that it is attached to the detector and the fact that I can use the display on the MXT with it is a big plus. You don't walk off and leave your probe behind either. If your hunting parks or school grounds it really cuts down on the time your probing around with a screwdriver after you get a hit. My wife is getting an MXT, though she doesn't know it yet, and I'll put another one on her's as well. Got a Bullseye, found they work great for finding any stray shot left in quail or ducks but that's about all I use it for anymore.. Spent the money on the DX1 and never look back.. Bob
