Hi weebee,
The best thing about custom programs is observing the adjustment parameters that others use in their area for a given detector. The problem with custom programs is when someone with a totally different set of known or unknown circumstances attempts to use that program. I don't pay attention to other programs just the settings that work for my area and conditions. I live in an area that literally sits atop a mountain of hotrocks, and mix in decomposing iron trash from a bye gone day and modern trash of today, then add in underground infrastructer and overhead powerlines.I wonder what program will work for me . I'm not laughing at you, just my circumstances. I really enjoy discussing the many facets of detecting strategy with various scenarios but it really boils down to learning everything about your specific detector operation and relay that knowlege to your hunting site. Just my opinion and subject to change with a proven system |
