Any of the DetectorPro or Killer Bees will work . The Grey Ghost is a good set and the ones I use most of the time.

Hi Lucasi 310
Listen to Dear Ol'e Dad. I ran accross the same problem when a BH SSII was ordered by a friend. He complained that he could'nt hear the signals very loud. I tested the headphone resistance which varied from 200 ohms to over 1k ohms. These headphones had a stereo-mono switch and switching to mono made some improvement. Now comparing the above headphones with the headphones that came with my BH Time Ranger. The BH headphones resistance only varied from 12 ohmsa to 200 ohms. This variance is due to the volume control that is on each side. The BH headphones do not have the stereo-mono switch as they are made specifically for metal detecting. If White's supply a set of headphones, for their detectors, it would the best way to go. Other brands specifically made for metal detectors should have the resistance similar to the BH model headphones. Someone on the BH forum also ran accross this same problem. I guess in short stereo systems have a requirement for a wider range of volume control vs metal detectors. I kind of favor the headphones with the full muff as this helps in keeping the ears warm in the spring and fall seasons. I use Bounty Hunter Time Ranger and Sharp Shooter II and cannot advise on the White's MD's. Wish You the best in your searching. Gordie
