question searching on rocks
Hello everyone!
my third trip out I stop at a man made pond. The edges are all rocks a little bigger then pebbles. ( palm size ) my metal detector would beep iron somtimes zinc. I would move the rocks to the side and wouldn't find that beep again. Am I doing something wrong? this would happen all over the pond. I did find something, a laddies bathroom sign! Cant wait to put it over the mens sign at work. LOL I should video tape it! Rob

sounds like the rocks have minerals in them like iron or something. as far as i know, theres not much you can do about it, besides trying to discrim the offending signal out.
