Newcomer Questions:

Hello!

I joined the Treasure Quest forum 2 days ago, but I'm not sure where to post questions or how to join in on treasure hunting discussions.

When I bring up the title page, there are three choices to click on:

METAL DETECTING FORUM

METAL DETECTING

TREASURE QUEST

Which should I select?

Also, this morning I was delighted to see so many personal Emails welcoming me to TQ! Are these "one-time" greetings, or is this the format that I'll be getting for all my replies?

I appreciate your friendliness in welcoming me to TQ!

Hi Hal,
If you have questions you can post under Treasure hunting questions & answers.
Most other posts can be under General. You'll get the hang of it soon
Don't worry about METAL DETECTING FORUM METAL DETECTING TREASURE QUEST These are just titles I use for the search engines (Keywords)

As for getting messages from our members, Yea we have a unique forum here with very kind and respectful members which makes a great community & family.

I had the same question. I had to find out myself. go all the way to the bottom where it says discussion forum and then when you get all that list go to about the second or third line where it says general discussion and when you are in there go all the way to the bottom and it will say new thread and just post. That's the way I know but there must be an easier way. I am new myself. This is the second day I am here. Hope this helps.

Hal and Smartfox - Let me see if I can help you get to the site quickly. When you go the the Treaqsure Quest home page you will see a column of listings on the left hand side. Click on Metal Detecting Forums. After you click on that there will be a long list of different forums with information on various topics. However if you look at the top of the page on the right hand side it will say Welcome _(your screen name) ______ # ____ unread posts since your last visit. If you click on this it will take you to all the new posts that have been made since your last visit. (Saves time from going thru all the different forums.) Click on the thread of the new posts you have not read and at the top of the posts there will be a place that says view first unread. That will take you to the end of the thread to the stuff that you have not read yet. I know this sounds confusing but once you do it a couple of times you will see what I am talking about.
