Union Park Dubuque
Has anyone hunted Union Park in Dubuque Iowa. I'm new to detecting, have a pioneer 505. I am impressed with the coins I have found, however, nothing old. My parents told me of the flood at Union Park, and I remember what I think may have been the old building foundations from when I attended Y camp as a youth. Can a guy get in there and find some older coins? Is permission needed? How have you done there?

Not that familiar with Dubuque (from Ft. Dodge) or Union Park. Camped at Miller Park recently, enjoying lots of coin finds. Nothing old but didn't detect that long of a time. Might give it a try, if you haven't already. Happy New Year!!!!

I have hunted union park, you need permission and you need to know somone to get you in , they are very selective and it;s been hunted alot ,but nobody finds it all. I have a friend that takes me there, tried myself but didn't get permission. Tough place to hunt . happy hunting
