Default Many Thanks....

....to the members and dealers here at TQ for all of their advice and suggestions in respect to my decision making process to buy or not to buy a new detector. I've received posts, PM's and E-Mails from many of you and believe me, the information I gathered was very helpful indeed.

Though there were several appealing detectors to buy, after months of comparing and analyzing, it became evident (at least to me) I already have the detectors that suit me best. So no changes at this time; I'm looking forward to taking what I already own and strive to improve my skills at metal detecting with what I'm already comfortable with.

Thank you all again. This is truly a forum of friends

It's funny you posted this. Dick. I was just thinking the same thing today. It seems that it is easy to get caught up in the "I want something just a little bit better" syndrome. I read reviews the Fisher is deeper than Tesoro. Then a Minelab is deeper than Fisher. Then Tesoro is deeper than Minelab. So I get so confused, it comes back to "Is my detector deep enough for me?". I thought after just getting a Tesoro Bandido, that I may opt for a Vaquero instead. Or maybe an Advantage. Then I thought "Am I going to pay 100% more for a detector that is going to gve me 20% more?".

Then I realized, with an Ace 250 and a Tesoro Bandido uMax, I better do something worthwhile with the $500 I spent, rather than spend much more for something that may not give me a lot more.
