Could not agree with you more Pris - this is fantastic information. Sometimes I go to the library and just stand there not knowing exactly where to start. By the time my library time is up I have managed to go around in circles without getting anything accomplished. Thanks for the precise information. JoAnne

preacherjim,
That first thread you got it right there, talking to aunts, uncles, greats, and coworkers have lead me to many awsome sites. In the winter months I spend a great deal of time at the library.

Thank you for sharing all the great information and well thought out advice. I have just been sitting here thinking about items I have right here like old Plat books that I was going to list on eBay, a county history and an IL Blue Book or two. Not to mention that my mom wrote the history of the village where I grew up.

Default Dont forget about your own backyard!

After 7 years of detecting, every once in a while I will give a detector a little excercize around the backyard. I do this when I am too busy to get out for a few hours.

I found both of these silver "Rosies" (1946, 1959D) this week while messing around in the yard.
