Default New Site To Hunt: You Just Gotta Ask

I got permission to hunt a new sight this evening. it turned out to be even better than I thought it would be. This site is a small location with an old gas station/country store that was built in 1950, a small house built in 1950, and another small house built around 1940. They sit side by side. I wanted to hunt it because it was an old store. I drove by this evening and the owner was mowing the grass. I stopped and chatted with him and told him of my hobby and asked for permission. He gave it, told me not to drive in one area because he had set up some tire spikes for people who had been stealing things, and to be careful for snakes. He then gave me a little history that I had no idea about. Directly behind these buildings used to be a post office which was closed around 1900. He also told me that his father used to have a garden on the spot and each year he would plow the garden and then walk around and pick up coins that had come to the surface. I can't wait to get there but had other obligations tonight. It won't be long though. Never miss a chance to ask for permission. You never know what you might get.

I am hoping to get out there this evening or tomorrow. Knowing the site has never been hunted is a great feeling and has me wanting to quit work today and go dig it. Hope to be posting finds soon.
