Well thanks for sharing RIP! Honestly, the web is the where everything is going, but this story is proof that it ain't all here yet! That's awesome that you have such a collection of articles. Maybe the guys at TreasureHunting.com can type some of those up and post 'em... I'll have to pass on your story!

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun, giggle, and make friends along the way!

What a phenomenal story, RIP...so many times I've seen monuments by the side of the road and never stopped to pay attention to what it might be there for. There's one near here - I'll definitely be stopping next time. Not for the chance of any treasure...but just to learn a little more about my surroundings.

Hi Riki ! read up on some of your local history and talk to folks and before ya know it you'll be findin al kinds of cool stuff ! Would love to know what the monument you mentioned is for when ya find out !

Thanks Creek ! cool photos ! Looks like fun ! I saw a website once that showed ya how to build a mountain howitzer the guy used it to deer hunt !
