Guy posted a link to some TOPO Maps over on the TNet Forum.
Been scouring over a 1915 map of my surrounding area. Found approx. 15, 1 room School Houses. I know of 3 that are still standing. I never knew that many were around. Found a couple within 5 miles of my house. Nothing but farm fields now. I will get permission to hunt these next spring. The old Electric Trolly Car used to run in my area also. I can still make out the remments of the old track bed and bridges here and there. This map shows the entire layout of the system. Don't think of finding much along its course, but it was neat to see just where it all ran. Another map is date 1945 and many features, houses and such located on the 1915 are gone by '45. Many from what I see were farms and are now since gone and plowed under. I got alot of work to do next year. I think I'm gonna order a copy of one. Check those TOPO Maps gang,,, theres alot to see of what once was. Link: Maptech: Historical Topographic Maps

Hey IronClad
![]() I couldn't agree more. I live in a town in PA that predates the United States and use TOPO maps frequently. Maps are a very valuable resource the older the better. Here are two more. TopoZone - The Web's Topographic Map, and more! Historical State Maps | Historic State Map Prints | Antique State Maps Thanks Leo ![]()

I have both the Eagle I and II. I think they are both very reliable detectors. Accurate and Disc. very well. Like the analog meters on the 6000's, the Eagles lock on and hold. Been out of detecting for a little over 10 years,,, and look what units I went back to buying and using. Old, but just as efficient as the new models.
The Eagle I can be upgraded to the same specs as the II. Factory Service Center can install a " chip " which adds additional features. If ya can get an Eagle I relatively cheap and have it upgraded,, it would be great. I do know the Eagle II SL units command high $$$ when they come available for sale. Not many folks get rid of them, and if they do, I don't understand why. Eagles can do everything. The touch Pad interface is very easy to navigate on both units,,, their essentially the same except for the added features on the Eagle II. The II unit has Secondary Advanced settings you can access real easy. All display and menu functions are right up front. Not alot of scrolling around like on the XLT, DFX type units. Simple, Touch a couple pads and your off and hunting. Display VDI numbers are approx. 3/4 in. high. Everything easy to read, and with a back light. You ever get a chance to try one,,, do so. You'LL scratch your head and wonder how ya missed out using these awesome detectors. I do like'um. ![]()
