Hi John,
My sister loves adventerous things. Although work and life gets in the way.
She and my brother in law have property out by the pecos river. I was just out there a few months ago and went swimming in the Pecos. Beautiful area.
The property is where I found my rock with the fossil imprint.

She has a cheap metal detector. I think I'll get her hooked on this story.

And yes, they watch for rattle snakes constantly. See alot of them.

Doug

Thanks for the post , John - I went to the rattlesnake round-up in Sweetwater a couple of times when I lived in Austin...of course, I was MUCH younger then...never did work up the courage to actually bag rattlers - but I HAVE eaten a couple! I still have the rattles from a 5 footer (timber rattler) I had to kill at my hunting cabin in PA...he was an aggressive sonofagun!

Ok EPC and Doug, well I thought these would be of some interest to the members and get your Sister a little better detector and tell her of these stories. Yep EPC I have been to the coliseum many times and they can get a lot of snakes in there. I don't have to go see them at a show because they are all over West Texas! Ok you guys take care now and come on back EPC. God Bless everyone!
