Default Legendary Treasures Of Texas

THERE IS A LEGEND CALLED THE LOST SAN SABA MINES IN CENTRAL TEXAS. THE WHITE MAN FIRST CAME UPON THESE RICH SILVER MINES IN 1756. THESE MINES HAD ALREADY BEEN WELL KNOWN TO THE AREA INDIANS FOR CENTURIES. THE APACHES ESPECIALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THIS SILVER TO MAKE THEIR JEWELRY AND ORNAMENTS FROM. THESE MINES ARE ALSO KNOWN AS THE BOWIE MINES SINCE IT IS SAID THE FAMOUS JIM BOWIE HAD MINED FROM THEM ADDING TO HIS WEALTH. AS LATE AS 1990 A CACHE OF SILVER BARS WERE FOUND IN A FARMERS FIELD THAT IS THOUGHT TO BE NEAR THE AREA OF THE SILVER MINES. IT IS STILL THE TALK OF THE AREA PEOPLES AS TO WHERE THESE MINES ARE TODAY. FROM TIME TO TIME TREASURE HUNTERS, GEOLOGISTS, ADVENTURER'S COME TO THE AREA TO SEARCH FOR THE LOST SAN SABA MINES OF CENTRAL TEXAS TO THIS DAY. HAS ANY OF THESE MODERN DAY EXPLORER'S FOUND THE MINES AND AREN'T SAYING ANYTHING? OR DO ANY OF THE TREASURE QUEST MEMBERS THINK THEY HAVE THE "RIGHT STUFF" TO JOURNEY TO A HARSH AND ROCKY LAND TO FIND THE RICH SAN SABA MINES OF CENTRAL TEXAS?

John, another good story. Would not mind hunting your great state of Texas, but Still not into rattlesnakes as we speak. Buster,,,,

Thanks Beale and Buster, yes you need snake chaps and a sharp ear and eye. They are there and don't like to be bothered!
