Shortgrass, Always keep an eye peeled for anything moving around or behind you. I hunt alone quite a bit and always have an eye out for the unexpected. Good luck and Happy Hunting. I'm sure there will be more to chime in on this post...Buster....

I asked a few people around town about events that use to take place years ago. Then off to the library to check local history and old maps. I wrote down the dates, then looked at the microfilm of our local paper. The dates went back to the late 1800's & early 1900's, as they also had pictures that I looked at and figured out area landmarks in the photos. Then off on the hunt, where I found lots of silver, v nickels, and quarters.
Oldest to date 1857 seated dime.

GG - Peggy and I were in the Aiken / Barnwell / Olar area for Thanksgiving - wish we would have had time to look you up and go huntin'! One of my very best friends lives in the area - so we visit pretty often...he owns some property near where an old CW engagement took place...hope to hunt it soon - and will let all of my SC buddies know when we're going...maybe we can make it a group outing...you, shortgrass, BigBill, etc...
