Default Treasure Story

I wanted to share a local treasure story that I just found out yesterday.

Back the 30's to 50's our town had a toll bridge over a river. Later on when the bridge was taken down workers collecting items from the river and river bank found closed buckets and tossed them in with the rest of the debris to be disposed of and was carted off. After they took out the 4th bucket or so someone decided to open it and found it full of silver dollars!

It was said that the toll person over time filled a bucket of silver dollars sealed the top tied a rope to it and let it slide off the edge of the brigde into the river to recover later.

****

For some reason I believe this story. And from what I understand some people looked for more but nothing was found or no one came forward to say they did.

Guess where Im going when it gets alittle warmer?

Think about it, if it was true if it happen in my town it can happen anywhere, maybe worth checking out old sites of toll bridges and such
for those treasure hunters out there.

Thanks for reading!
