I would have to agree with PAPPY,I think it would be a great place to hunt. I would imagine lots of history there.

It sure looks good to me. I can imagine tons of stuff being thrown or lost over the side of the bridge. Get out there!

Who's going to throw or lose money off the side of a bridge? Not too possible in my estimations.

Hm. Are you having a bad day? I guess there's no hope to go anywhere and hunt if it's all covered by silt? Anything is possible, so why not give it a try? You'll never know if you don't try. My thoughts, anyway.

Yeah what she said !
I have been looking into doing some water hunting recently and read an interesting article about the efects of time on different things that could get lost in the water.Depending on the conditions of the bottom many things like bottles can remain on the surface for hundreds of years.Coins and heavier objects will sink in a silted area yet remain on the surface if it's a rocky or clay bottom.Gold for example will collect in pockets, how do you think goldminers find gold ?

I can understand Nighthunter's doubts. I also have my doubts so that why Im getting everyones input. Also this area was not only a toll bridge but a ferry crossing in the 1800's one of two close by.

My problem is I lack better places to hunt right now besides the local parks, I been getting alot of NO's for permission to hunt more promising places. This area is close to home, no permission needed, and has some possibilites, So I will be hunting whenever I lack a better place.

I'm sure alot of finds have been recovered from silt. Ocean currents move sand, and thousands of recoverys have been made. It's only impossible if you never try..........

Nope..not having a bad day. Just being realistic. I'm not the kind of guy to blow sunshine up someone's butt.

Lets face it...there are millions of great places to hunt...under an old bridge isn't one of them.
