I've been researching Virginia City all afternoon. You post this link and the first thing I see are links to circa 1861 maps of VC.

Did you know???

If MDin on federal land (out here it's BLM) if you find an artifact that is 50 yrs old or older you must leave it. No other rules apply. This could only apply to historic identified lands.

Thanks for the link, the maps and Google earth I know where to look now.

Rick

Default thanks for the info

I ordered two 1946 land surveys from them and they were at my house in a week-absolutely awesome.great prints of my entire town divided into lots that have since been subdivided 100 times-also shows where a old racetrack that burnt down was-where the grandstands were-ect.cant wait for the ground to thaw so I can check it out.
