Default Detecting Permit for Orlando,Fl

Just in case your visiting Orlando Florida.. A permit is required..

Hey All,

I was just thinking that it may be a good Idea to share some local info with you guys..

I was looking to see if I can MD in a certain park in Orlando Fl, Just wasn't sure of the rules in Orange County,Florida...

Being that I'm in the next county over Osceola County,Fl and I know for sure that you are free to detect all parks here in the county....

I'm thinking maybe we can have a Link here on TQ for our members

Kinda like a know before you go to an area.. state by state.. Info link.

where you can download the info and have your information ahead of time..

Just print out your permit right here on TQ...

Here's one for Orange County,Fl "Orlando"

This is most excellent research! I live in Seminole County, and have only hunted private property. There's an old abandoned golf course across the street I've hit up - just a couple of beer cans tho... and no body bothered me there either. I think Seminole county is just so much more chill than Orange.

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun!

Thanks for the research...I personally was there a few weeks ago but was doing the 'family thing' so I only was able to md my bro in laws place. Funny, I was reading the metal detecting policy letter and had to laugh when I read..."No tools other than the metal detector shall be used. This includes any digging device." Wow makes me wonder how you are supposed to get anything out of the ground...?
