Default Historic Day for Me!

Ok, I didn't find anything, but it is a historical day for me... for one, 16 years ago today I found my 1922 Peace dollar at the old KCS depot in Port Arthur, Texas... and thus began a month of absolute heaven - over $7 face value in old silver... still communicating with the folks on the construction project - hoping to get back soon and hit it again...

Also, today I received permission to hunt the oldest private property I've ever had the chance to - the Pickle-Mason house in Leander, Texas... it was built in 1871, predating the town of Leander by 12 years... how'd I do it? I walked up and introduced myself to the man watering the flowers, he called in to his wife, and we chatted for about 30 minutes! She also may have connections to other properties in the mid 1800's there in Leander... I believe her family has a ranch there that I may get to hunt...

I'm either gonna go back tomorrow after work, or Saturday and hunt the house... wish me luck, guys!

Congradulations.
I remember reading about this town and should be a great place to find Indian artifacts also.
In the early days the frequently attacked to the extent the Rangers were called out to protect them.

Wish you best on this .
