Default Circus routes

I found this website the other day and thought it was interesting. It has detailed routes and events that happend all over. Here it is

interesting see the names of several nearby towns,now all i gotta do is find were they held there shows ! should be in the old newspapers at the local library.

Thanks for sharing that link Rustycoin....definitely would be a HOT SPOT if you can still find that field where they used to set up they're circus!!!

Hopefully most of these circus sites weren't at the local fairgrounds...the OVERHUNTED fairgrounds!

If anyone has any luck finding and hunting a circust site I would love to hear about it!

i don't think any of the old circuses where held at the fairgrounds. I think that in small towns they were held in the outskirts of town and there are some that i know about here in southern Utah that i am going to hit soon.

what about old tent church revivals in small towns around, they have been going on for years. just have to ask some of the older GOD fearing people where they were held back when they were young. most of the time they were held outside in a nice grassy area. just a thought. got to run, catbird

But, I looked for towns around my area and all of them were in towns where the county fair were held.

Default Gentry Circus ?

I have been trying to find info on the GENTRY CIRCUS that operated at the beggining of the 19th century and operated for a long time there after ! I would like to know the Gentry circus route and even IF it passed through my town of Bartlesville ,Oklahoma !! ANY help would be appreciated !!! HAPPY HUNTING !!! KENNETH
