Default Australian Minerals

I had promised to post some things in the rockhounding forum so I hope you like these. I'll have to post the pics in batches though. My mom went to Australia recently and met a friend of a friend who rockhounds there. He sent a few specimens back for me. I took the photo with his label for identification. One came unidentified. Obviously, he was very generous...

Thanks! I sent him a thank you letter with some stuff I collected. Mom took pictures of his collection and he had some beautiful pieces. He said most of the rocks were collected over 600 kilometers from his house. His club did serious road trips.

WOW, Those are Fantastic . My favorite is the Azurite,I've always thought it was so pretty. The Tiger Iron and the Unknown are also Spectacular . Very,Very Nice Collection.

That is a beautiful amethyst. And The fluorite is cool also. Nice finds he sent to ya, he was very generous. Cool you sent him some things back too.
