Default Chinese Coin Hunter

Hi All
Being new to your group and being from the land downunder I am not sure if any thing we find or do down here would relate to you guys .
But I will let you know a little about what I do here .
My first love is hunting down old Chinese ghost towns and other old gold mining camps from the late 1800's .
I write stories for mags about the finds and trips into the wilds of the North Queenslands out back .
I will attach a link to the Chinese coins found on the last trip to test the water with you fellow detector operatos in the north .

Welcome Bob!
Sounds like you have a very different environment to hunt. Checked out the coins.. definitely different!
Enjoy!

Hi Bob how's it going . Most of the coins I've hit on the goldfields here in Victoria are of course British, the most recent an 1824 George shilling. The first coin I got in the goldfield's region was an American coin out of a mullock heap but I cannot remember wat it was.....BUT.....I have never hit a Chinese coin and there were thousands of chinese diggers in my area so I better do some research to get me over one. Thanks to the link to your site Bob and good luck on your next trip....Rob.
