Default lOOKS LIKE CROME WHAT IS IT

I do not know how to post a picture so I'll describe what it is. I found this rock about 1"long & 1/2" wide 1/4 " thick. The outside color is brown & gray, I broke off a small piece and it is brite chrome inside. At first I thought it was lead because of the weight but it is brittle.

The only scale I have is a reloading scale that measures in grains, it weigh's 135 grains. A magnet will not stick to it and when you pass over it with a detector it reads a strong 1 or 10 cent & a vid of 78 10% iron.

Any clues as to what it might be.

Default Item

Bula, I would like to know where you found your item..Driveway, Woods, Field ? More than likely what you have is Siberian Diopside, Afgan Diopside or maybe Raw Chrome. These type materials are used a good bit in landscaping. They are also used in jewelry. When polished they give off a green luster. They appear to be black, brown or rust color on the outside. Very pretty when broken apart.
Sure would love to see a picture if you can post one too.
