I can't remember where I found this but it's been a long time, and it was most likely in the Southeast Texas area, around Port Arthur/Orange/Beaumont...

Any idea what it might be, Pappy?

cool find, im guessing civil war, possibly an artillery button?? not sure what the D stands for...

I'm an old retired Artillery man I believe weasel is right.... for sure cross cannons "D" may signify Delta Battery.....How far away is Ft. Bliss or Ft. Hood? Anything on the back?
