Default wedding ring I found for a friend

My buddies mother in law passed away last week. He told me that she was in her late 80s. She had lost her wedding ring last October. She wanted to give it to her daughter, which is my friends wife. I was telling him about metal detecting and he asked me to try to find it. They looked for days for it with no luck. I said lets go. After about 2 hours, I did find it under the porch amoungst the spiders and a ton of trash. It must have rolled down the hill when she lost it. Then the snow covered it up. It was about 6 feet away from where they had looked, and was only 1 inch down. The expression on their faces when I found it was something I will never forget. I scanned it in and here it is. It has 2 small diamonds in it Althought it isn't real valuable it has tremendous value to the family. I really felt humbled when I placed it in her hand. Best of all now he is going to get a detector and I will have a new hunting buddy.

Finds like this make our hobby truly worth all the pull tabs. Good job on the find!

You know you will be rewarded for that kind act in some way. Maybe the spirit of your friend's MIL will guide you to a find you truly desire or maybe, just the fact you are getting a new hunting buddy will be your reward.

Good on ya!
