hi everyone!
happy memorial day! family picnic was on saturday so i had all day to detect.i hit this old abandoned church adjacent to the stone church i hit last week.a cemetary seperates the 2 churches.this was the original church before the stone one was built.there is a small grass area on the side of this wooden church and made sure to keep my distance from the first row of headstones.managed to pull a 1891 ih and might i add.... this is the nicest indian head i pulled as far as no corrosion on it.a few wheaties oldest being 1919.a 1946 silver rosie.a blingy 4 leaf clover stamped MONET on back and a dangly earing with fake rubies.about a buck in clad that i didn't bother scanning.well take care and back to the grind(work) tuesday ugghhhh! dave in ct Last edited by HEAVYMETALNUT; 05-26-2008 at 11:14 PM. |

IT LOOKS KINDA GREEN IN THE SCAN BUT LIKE I SAID NO CORROSION AT ALL.I BELEIVE THE SOIL CONDITIONS ARE THE MAIN FACTOR.THE SOIL UNDER THE BIG PINE WAS VERY DUSTY AND DRY.NOT ALOT OF PINE NEEDLES EITHER SO LOW ACIDITY AND DRY SOIL CONDITION= NO CORROSION? THAT'S MY THEORY
