Default Today's Treasure

This evening while swingin' a country river park. Four kids on bicycles from an adjacent mobile home park circled me, with lots of curious questions. Not being in the mood for company I gave them the smart a## answer...'I'm from homeland security..etc." Not to give up they soon were helping me dig and collect... lots of eww's and ahhh's, and cool!! Long story short I made four new freinds, the oldest boy got the dimes, swearing he will soon save for a big 5 model m'detector. The other two boys split the penny's and flipped for a hot wheel car. A very precious 5 year old little girl with hair in her eyes brushed back with dirty hands in awe of the shiny pull tabs ran home to show her parents a whole hand full of them. My batteries drained the sun setting, I drove home with a smile on my face like I found a silver dollar. Treasure is where you find it.......

nice story. you might have just changed the paths of their young lives, taught them something productive instead of destructive

Hey ND, so I take it your liking that 705... so far I am thrilled about the wet sands for me.. now after i ground balance again in the wet sands, I always end in shallow waters too, so I drop my sens down a bit when I go into the water, do you do the same as I have found coins in the water using that method.. hows about you?

Thats a great story! Sounds like you made a big impression on those kids! They probably won't ever forget that and just might become future MD'ers in the future!!!!!
