Default Sad state of things

There is so much freakin trash in the ground and on the ground is makes me crazy. Who teaches their kids that littering is OK?

I am thinking about getting a garbage picker-upper tool and carrying an extra trash bag to pick up surface trash while I hunt. I know it is a futile effort, but ...

I guess I am lucky. Most places that I hunt are clean on the surface but do have a lot of trash in the ground.

I think they need to go back to the "Give a Hoot and don't pollute" Campaign
I remember there use to be trash cans on every corner. And at least a couple in the parks. Now there's not that many out there. Guess they don't want to pay for the pick up services.

I gotta agree. On the beach in Curacao I found one area littered with rib bones! A trash can was less than 10 feet away! What kind of people do that. Here we have a program called "don't mess with Texas" but we still have a lot of trash laying around.

I know what you mean!!! One of our beaches here is absolutely HORRIBLE and it's the adults doing it!!!!!! I have left areas because of the trash, When you get about 6 signals under the coil no matter how far you move that's bad and it's all trash!!! And the no glass on the beach well you can throw that out the window!!!! It was so bad last time they had to get a tractor with a 10' rake behind it to drag the beach!!!!! I don't understand it!!! What are these people expecting to see when they come back!!!!!!

i'd suggest that if you dont like looking at the trash, dont go metal detecting! yeah its aggravating to look at, but it's a fact of life. there are alot of irresponsible people out there and trying to pick up after them for no pay is how you say...futile, bro. ignor it or petition the city

I always pick up whatever trash I see laying around. I can't pick up everything, but I can pick up this one...and this one...and that one...oh, and that one. If I think of it that way, I feel like I'm doing SOMETHING and not nothing. Plus, if people see me doing it, maybe they'll feel badly about trashing the site in the future? Maybe just wishful thinking, but I have to put a positive spin on it.
