Default A belt buckle

I found this belt buckle. It has xomething missing from its center. It isn't much but it is mine.

Boobie, are there there any markings on the reverse? That might help in an I.D. Post a pic of the back as well...if you don't mind. Construction might give a clue as to age.

Here is the back. In between the spring there is writing. I can read it with my loop. It doesn't show up with my scanner. It says. Pat. 12-13-21 - Giant grip - the last line says base metal with a type of sunburst on the left and right of the words base matal.

Well the Pat. date certainly helps and I am thinking probably 1921, so it is fairly old. I am still curious about it. The design of the reverse almost looks like a seat belt of sorts...but did early model cars even use seat belts? Hmmm....

I had a 57 chevy that didnt come with seat belts. They were an order item. As a matter of fact in 1939 stock fords didnt come with two tail lights, 1 tail light was the norm, 2 was special order, and I believe some came without tail lights at all. lol....HH....Bill

Remeber that buckle I found down Midland Park(Harry said look at this civil war buckle
everybody come run over) Its the same buckle Pat.
12-13-21 Giant Grip my got a "R" on it for Radio broadcasting They made over 1000 different designs for news,orngsignation(like V.F.W.),Radio and etc...
I seen one on eBay go for $50.00
