Default My whites MXT service story.

I bought my MXT off of eBay about 6 months ago but it wasn't until August that I got serious about using it.
One of the things I noticed was that zinc cents were sometimes coming up as screw caps, especially if they were corroded.

I wasn't sure if it was me, or my machine so I talked to the guys in our club and they told me:
A. they sometimes do that and
B. if I had any questions I could take it into White's and have them do a "tune up".
I wasn't sure what a tune up consisted of but I figured what the heck, it can't hurt.

"One nice thing about where I live is that I'm less then an hour from their headquarters in Sweet Home. "

So I take it in and talk to Todd, explain what it's doing and he tells me to come back in an hour.

I come back and the receptionist hands me my machine and tells me Todd thinks I'll be very happy with it now...

I look down and it has a BRAND NEW COIL ON IT!!!!

Not only did they do a tune up (I'm still not to sure what they did) but they threw in the coil for no charge!!

To say I was surprised would be a gross understatement!!!

After this experience I can say they definitely have me as a customer for life!!!!

Excellent story. Thanks for sharing. I was debating whether I should send my detector in for some minor repairs. Now I think I will.

That is great news! I really like reading thes good customer support stories. White's seems to do very well. It may just be my next machine, Beale.

When a company stands behind their product like this you can not go wrong with it at all...........

I have never heard of any other stories from other MD'ing companies like Whites...........I am glad I did buy a XLT...........

I am glad you got treated nicely. I am working on getting down there with SkateCreek soon and will take my MXT down for a tune up when I go for sure. When choosing a detector I chose Whites because they had been around forever, were a major name when detecting came up, and they are close to home. Good to hear they did you right. My pinpoint tone fades out sometimes and goes silent for a minute or two so time to take it in. Probably the last week of this month when I have vacation time. Thanks for posting a good service report.
